TMTA Competition Winners

MTNA Competitions – Fall

The MTNA National Competitions are the most successful and prestigious student competitions in the country. Each year, thousands of students compete for top prizes and national recognition.

The purpose of the MTNA Performance competitions is to provide educational experiences for students and teachers and to recognize exceptionally talented young artists and their teachers in their pursuit of musical excellence.

The Junior, Senior and Young Artist Performance Competitions begin at the state level every fall. The winners/representatives of Tennessee advance to the Southern Division competition (video only), and division winners then compete live in the national finals at the annual MTNA National Conference.

Fall 2024 Competitions: The Fall 2024 Competitions will be held live on October 25th and 26th 2024, on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville. More details TBA. (Note: the regulations and deadlines for MTNA’s chamber music and two-piano competition are different. Please check the MTNA website for information. These two competitions do not go through state levels.)
