TMTA is soliciting contributors to build a fund large enough to grant substantial scholarship awards to those who rank highest in the annual auditions. The majoity of the fund is in the TMTA Scholarship Awards Endowment Fund. Secondary funds include the TMTA Elizabeth Lovell Reed Memorial Scholarship Award Endowment Fund, which underwrites the award for college winners in piano and the Carrie E. Warrick Memorial Scholarship Awards Endowment Fund, which underwrites the ninth grade winners in piano in June and the junior high piano winners in the fall.
TMTA has placed these endowment funds with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The professional management of the Community Foundation will enhance the growth of the fund and ensure the future continuation of the purposes for which contributions are given. TMTA and the Community Foundation are fully tax-exempt, non-profit corporations chartered in the state of Tennessee; and contributions to these funds are fully tax deductible.
Endowment Fund contributions should be sent to Elizabeth Cormier, 500 Elmington Ave. #321, Nashville, TN 37205. Make checks payable to the TMTA Endowment Fund, the E. L. Reed Endowment Fund or to the Carrie E. Warrick Memorial Scholarship Awards Endowment Fund
